Mr. Charles Siwawa is currently employed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Botswana Chamber of Mines based in Gaborone, a position he has occupied since 2010. He holds a Masters Degree in Industrial and Administrative Sciences from City University London, UK. Mr. Siwawa has extensive background in the mining industry in Botswana. Prior to joining the Botswana Chamber of Mines, Mr. Siwawa was employed by Debswana Diamond Company in various capacities, including four years (2006-2009) as the Group Mining Manager at their Technical Services Center office in Gaborone.

He then worked for Debswana’s Orapa and Letlhakane Mines for over twenty four years in various capacities culminating in him being the Technical Services Manager in 2002. Prior to that between 1997 and 1999 he was seconded to De Beers Corporate Headquarters in Johannesburg. He returned to Debswana in 1999
