Joel Duke Ramaphoi is the Permanent Secretary for the newly established Ministry of Entrepreneurship. He is responsible for providing leadership and overall policy direction, strategy and standards on entrepreneurship and business development in Botswana. An economist by training with progressive experience in Corporate & Investment Banking, particularly the treasury and wealth management environment, Ramaphoi has worked for major banks such as Bank of Botswana, Stanbic Bank and Standard Chartered Bank.

Ramaphoi is an immediate former Executive Director for Investment Attraction at the Special Economic Zones Authority (SEZA) Botswana. Ramaphoi possess a unique set of skills and qualifications required for delivery of desired results especially where strategy, business development and risk management converge. He has a developed trend of achievements and a multiple award winner, who thrives more when intellectually challenged
