Komi Tsowou is an economist, currently working as Regional Advisor on AfCFTA issues at the Regional Bureau for Africa of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Before joining the UNDP, Komi served as an economist, dealing with regional integration, trade and industrialization issues at the African Trade Policy Center of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (Ethiopia) and as Economist at United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in Geneva.
Prior to joining the United Nations, Komi worked as investment officer and researcher in the financial services sector in Canada. In his various roles at the United Nations, Komi advises both public and private actors across Africa and beyond on various issues ranging from trade, industrialization and value chains development including within the context of the African Continental Free Trade Area.
